Luxembourg, May 29, 2013 – INTRASOFT International, a leading European company in the area of Information and Communication Technology Services, with more than 12 years experience in SAP projects, has successfully completed a 0.72 million euro (720,000.00 euro plus VAT) project for the Supply, Installation and Customization of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Business Intelligence (BI) System for the Thessaloniki Port Authority S.A.

This project is the first SAP implementation in a Greek port that covered the full range of back-office processes, as well as several front-office operations, such as resources scheduling and operations management for the conventional port. It is an integrated information system with reliable, modern and efficient business processes that facilitate the port's personnel in executing daily operations, support the further development and improvement of the services offered, thus promoting the competitiveness of the port.

The project, awarded to INTRASOFT International in January 2012 through an international open tender procedure, has been successfully completed, with the port's SAP system move to production in January 2013 and the support period completion in March 2013. With the use of the SAP ERP solution, the new system covered all business processes in the areas of Financials, Controlling, Purchasing, Warehouse & Materials Management, Sales, Projects Management, Maintenance and Facilities Management. In addition the SAP Netweaver Process Integration platform ensures real-time communication with external business-critical applications such as Containers Management, while the SAP Netweaver Portal solution ensures the dissemination of management information among the various Thessaloniki Port Authority management functions.
