Press Release : INTRASOFT International consortium wins EUR 30 million contract with the European Commission

Luxembourg, April 25, 2013INTRASOFT International, in a consortium with European Service Network (ESN), following an international tendering process by the Directorate-General for Research and Innovation of the European Commission, has been awarded a framework contract for the provision of information & communication services with a potential estimated value of EUR 30 million. INTRASOFT International's participation is estimated at EUR 13.5 million (45 % of the total consortium budget).

 The contract has a maximum duration of four years and is one of the most important framework contracts on information and communication initiatives in the areas of research and technological development of the EU. The project aims to provide the European Commission with support in planning, implementing and following up on information and communication activities. It will cover the 25 European Union Member States, countries associated with the various programmes managed by the Research Directorate-General and the Joint Research Centre, as well as countries applying for EU membership.

 For INTRASOFT International the work concerns the design and creation of information products, promotional material and web applications. The objective is to produce a wide range of publications involving professional writers, graphic designers, quality control managers, and translators. The company will also be called upon to provide editorial and technical services in the area of electronic communication (web design and development, internet, assistance and guidance to users, mobile web and applications, WCMS, etc.) and strategic advice in the area of communications in general, including the use of social media.

 The awarded contract is very important in the context of EU's policies to enhance citizens' awareness regarding the research and technological policies and results in Europe, under the new framework programme Horizon 2020.
