Commencement of trading of shares resulting from the Bank's share capital increase

National Bank of Greece SA informs investors that, in accordance with NBG Board decision dated 22.02.2013, as of Wednesday 27.02.2013 trading will commence on the Athens Exchange (ATHEX) of 270,510,718 new ordinary registered shares of the Bank, of a nominal value of €1.00 each, which resulted from the partially covered share capital increase of the Bank decided by the 2nd Repeat General Meeting its Shareholders held on 23.11.2012.

The ATHEX approved the listing of the 270,510,718 new shares on 25.02.2013. As at the date of commencement of trading, the new shares will have been credited to shareholders' securities accounts in the Dematerialised Securities System.

Decision K5-704 of the Hellenic Ministry of Development, Competitiveness, Infrastructure, Transport and Communications approving amendment of the relevant article of the Bank's Articles of Association was entered in the Companies Register on 25.02.2013.
