Luxembourg, February 14, 2013 – Following an open international procurement process, the  consortium that includes INTRASOFT International -as the strategic partner with strong expertise in the implementation of large-scale IT Systems in the Business Domain of Taxation, acting as a subcontractor responsible for the provision of implementation services related to Taxation Applications- has been selected by the Ministry of Economy & Finance of the Government of Qatar, for a contract for the Supply and Implementation of a Tax Administration System.

The other members of the consortium include Qatar-based MANNAI Corporation and Oracle Consulting. INTRASOFT International's participation is estimated at 6.2 million USD. This project, which will run for 18 months with a maintenance period of additional 5 years, is the second similar success of the company in the region, demonstrating once more INTRASOFT's International strong know-how and deep accumulated experience in the implementation of large-scale Information Systems in the Business Domain of Taxation globally. In addition, this new success in Qatar reflects the company's global expanding business operations.

INTRASOFT INTERNATIONAL will provide services related to the parameterization, adaptation, integration, training and technical support of the Turn-key Integrated Commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) Software Solution for the implementation of the Tax Administration System (TAS). The Software solution consists of three COTS Integrated products namely Oracle - ETPM and INTRASOFT's International own TRMS and ESKORT Compliance & Enforcement solution.

Upon completion of the project implementation, the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Qatar will possess a modern system, a vital enabler of the Tax Transformation Program the Ministry has embarked on providing the Tax Agency Officers with the means to proactively automate & manage their workload and direct resources to service and compliance activities as required.

Over the years, INTRASOFT International has developed strong expertise in Public Sector IT systems and particularly in Public Financial systems for Ministries of Finance with significant implementations in Taxation, Treasury, Customs and Compliance Systems.  INTRASOFT's International experience has been acquired through significant implementations for the Ministries of Finance in Greece, Cyprus, Albania and Jordan, as well as central EU level implementations.
