INTRALOT GROUP HEAD OF INFORMATION SECURITY CHRISTOS DIMITRIADIS

 

EARNS AWARD FOR CONTRIBUTIONS TO ISACA'S BODY OF KNOWLEDGE

 

 

INTRALOT Group Head of Information Security, Christos K. Dimitriadis, CISA, CISM, CRISC, Ph.D., has earned the prestigious John W. Lainhart IV Common Body of Knowledge Award from ISACA. ISACA, a global association serving 110,000 IT governance, assurance, risk and security professionals in 180 countries, announced the prestigious award at its INSIGHTS 2013 conference in Berlin.

The John W. Lainhart IV Common Body of Knowledge Award was instituted during the 1996-97 year to recognize individuals for major contributions to the development and enhancement of the common body of knowledge used by ISACA constituents in the field of information systems (IS) audit, security and/or control; IS audit certification; and/or IS audit standards.

“Christos is an accomplished author and has shared his valuable expertise to enhance ISACA's academic programs,” said Mr. Greg Grocholski, CISA, immediate past international president of ISACA. “His contributions have helped ISACA provide timely, trusted guidance to our constituents and the IT industry as a whole.”

Christos Dimitriadis is Head of information security in INTRALOT Group. He serves ISACA as a member of the International Board of Directors, he chairs the ISACA's Knowledge Board and serves on ISACA's Strategic Advisory Council. He has served ISACA as international vice president, chairman of the COBIT Security Task Force, chairman of the External Relations Committee and member of the Relations Board, Academic Relations Committee, ISACA Journal Editorial Committee and Business Model for Information Security Workgroup. He has been working in the area of information security for 13 years and has written more than 100 publications in the field. He holds two patents on novel fraud detection systems and game design.
