INTRALOT ANNOUNCES SOUTH CAROLINA EDUCATION LOTTERY EXERCISES CONTRACT EXTENSION OPTION

INTRALOT USA announces the South Carolina Education Lottery (SCEL) has approved an extension of its contract to continue to provide central gaming and statewide retail network systems, including associated gaming products and support services. The initial 7-year contract will be extended for three additional years, until 2018, as provided in the original contract.

Paula Harper Bethea, SCEL's Executive Director, stated: “The Education Lottery has been pleased with the excellent system performance and service we have received from INTRALOT USA.  We look forward to our mutual successes as we both endeavour to enhance education in South Carolina.”

INTRALOT will continue to operate its primary data center in South Carolina as well as provide all other support functions, such as, training, maintenance and repair, retailer hotline, field operations, some marketing and ticket stock warehousing.

The South Carolina Education Lottery began operations in 2002. Its mission is to enhance educational funding in South Carolina through fun and entertaining games. Successful from the outset, today SCEL is a world-class organization, setting records and receiving recognition from industry and business groups alike. During fiscal year 2012, sales totaled more than $1.135 billion, and more than $297 million was transferred for educational programs, bringing total contributions to the Education Lottery Account, since its first sale in January 2002, to more than $2.9 billion.
