The Athens Exchange (ATHEX) is announcing herewith the following:

Due to the merger by acquisition of the company GEK S.A from the company HERMES REAL ESTATE S.A. on 06/12/2004 and the cease of trading of the shares of GEK S.A. from the ATHEX, the following changes will be realized in the indices in which it participates.

More specifically:

• The share of the company GEK S.A. is deleted from the FTSE/ASE Mid 40 Index and is replaced by the share of the company HERMES REAL ESTATE S.A. weighted by 75%.

• The share of the company HERMES REAL ESTATE S.A. is deleted from the FTSE/ASE SmallCap 80 Index and is replaced by the share of the company ATLANTIK SUPER MARKET S.A. weighted by 40%.

• The share of the company GEK S.A. is erased from the FTSE/ASE 140 Index and is replaced by the share of the company ATLANTIK SUPER MARKET S.A. weighted by 40%.

The aforesaid changes were carried out after the close of the trading session of the ATHEX on 03/12/2004.
