Luxembourg, January 7, 2013 - INTRASOFT International has been selected by the Volkswagen Group in Germany for a contract for the Vehicle Dimensions Competitors' (VEDICO) Redesign to a modern application project, demonstrating once more INTRASOFT's International strong know-how and deep accumulated experience in software development and IT Services provision, even for new Business Domains such as the Automotive Industry. This project of 0.5 million EUR for the 1^st phase, which will run for 12 months with a possible extension of the maintenance contract for a longer period of time, is the 1^st contract implemented by INTRASOFT International for the Automotive Industry globally.

INTRASOFT International will design and develop a database, which will compare the dimensions of all geometrical data per category of Volkswagen Group competitors, plotting two-dimensionally and three-dimensionally the information of its competitors, namely the parameters of constructing a car with all the specific technical details, categorized and structured depending on the platform, heading, engine and related comparative data. The result will provide the research and development departments of the Volkswagen Group with a comprehensive overview of the development stages of its competitors. The system will be expanded to cover Audi AG in the 2nd phase.

 This project will allow the Volkswagen Group to lower costs and increase quality as well as its competitive capabilities. The project is in collaboration with PROSTEP, a leading partner for manufacturers and suppliers in the automotive, aerospace, electronics and other industries, providing automotive suppliers with a number of options for automating and optimizing their processes.
