Following the completion of the public offer by Credit Agricole S.A. to the shareholders of Emporiki Bank of Greece S.A, that resulted into a 71.97% level in the total participation of the first company into the share capital of the second one, the weighting percentage of the shares of Emporiki Bank of Greece S.A will be changed, from 75.0% to 40.0%, in all the FTSE/ATHEX Indices in which it is participating.

The shares of the Company Emporiki Bank of Greece S.A participate in the following Indices:

• FTSE/ATHEX 20

• FTSE/ATHEX International

• FTSE/ATHEX 140

• FTSE/ATHEX Banks

All changes will be effective prior to the start of the trading session of the ATHEX on Thursday August 24, 2006.
