Press Release:INTRASOFT International adds FYROM to its long list of customs projects with a new 2.2 million contract

Luxembourg, November 14, 2012 - INTRASOFT International signed a 2.19 million EUR contract for the full Modernization of the Customs Systems (development and implementation of Customs Declaration and Excise Processing System - CDEPS) of Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM),  highlighting INTRASOFT's International leading position as a worldwide expert and a market leader in the construction, integration, deployment and operational management of Customs systems and consultation services around the world. This project, which will run for 2 years with a maintenance period of 5 years, is the 10th e-Customs Framework project implemented by INTRASOFT International globally.

The consortium of INTRASOFT International and locally-based GPM Consulting will design and develop the Customs Declaration and Excise Processing System (CDEPS) according to EU specifications. The work involves the management of customs declarations and excise documents, control of movements of excise goods, electronic message exchange, efficiency in conducting controls regarding collected and returned customs duties, excise, taxes and other charges, faster flow of goods, improvement of the security of the supply system in accordance with the initiative of the WCO and the EU membership standards, data exchange between customs authorities, economic operators and other government institutions.

Today's Customs Administrations face a challenging mix of demands coming from trade, regulation & legal requirements, national & regional requirements, social security and risk management, as well as demands of pure technical nature. The increasing need of the trader community to be in synchronization with the technological changes imposed by the process compliance initiatives of customs authorities has been identified by INTRASOFT International.

INTRASOFT International holds a leading position globally in the construction, integration, deployment and operational management of information systems for Customs Administration including other public bodies and private companies. The company's offerings cover a wide spectrum of customs and other government agencies' requirements, including the provision of technical expertise, automation of customs and other government agencies' processes to reflect National and Regional needs taking into account International standards. INTRASOFT International has implemented a total of approximately forty (40) customs contracts in more than twenty (20) countries globally.

Mr. Athanasios Kotsis, CEO of INTRASOFT International commented: “We are delighted about this latest award, which helps our company expand its geographical reach, international activity, as well as our long list of references experience in Customs Administrations worldwide. This new contract is another sign of success in our commitment to be the leader in the construction, deployment and operational management of Customs-centric integration systems globally. It also adds another success story to the rapidly expanding popularity of INTRASOFT's International e-Customs Framework. FYR Macedonia becomes yet another member of the long list of countries, where INTRASOFT International is present, delivering high-quality services and products. The award of the present contract is an indicator of the company's world-wide reputation of a trustful IT partner.”
