This program is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of Investor Relations (IR), highlight the critical role IR plays within a company, and introduce the essential tools and strategies for effectively managing company’s value. Timely, accurate, and transparent communication between a company with publicly traded securities (such as stocks and/or bonds) and its various stakeholders can significantly impact the company’s reputation and market value. In this context, Investor Relations is crucial in balancing the informational needs of the investment community with the company’s regulatory obligations, as well as the communication requirements of the Board of Directors and senior management team.

Purpose
The goal of the seminar is to analyze the structure and complexity of Investor Relations in companies, to highlight the importance of the IRO's role in today’s business environment, particularly in the current context in Greece, as well as the key responsibilities associated with this role. This will ultimately help listed companies increase their business value and improve their access to the capital and liquidity offered by the capital markets.

Instructor's short bio
George Panagopoulos, CFA
Mr. Panagopoulos, was a member of the Investor Relations team at National Bank of Greece until March 2024. During this period, he was involved in all strategic and day-to-day activities of the Investor Relations team, such as the preparation of the Group’s quarterly financial results, market analysis, and communication with analysts and rating agencies.
Before joining the Investor Relations team, he had worked, among other roles, as a Relationship Manager (RM) and financial analyst. In March 2024, he joined the Investment Strategy team of National Bank of Greece, where he continues to work to this day.
Mr. Panagopoulos was elected President of CFA Society Greece in July 2025, having served as a member of the Board of Directors since November 2021.
He holds a degree in Industrial Management & Technology from the University of Piraeus and an MSc in Finance and Banking from the Athens University of Economics and Business. Finally, he is a CFA charterholder.
