Sales up 7,6% in the 9 months of 2025
September traditionally marks a period of strong sales for products related to the back-to-school season.
- The JUMBO Group grew sales by 4% y-o-y in September 2025, in an environment that continues to present multifaceted challenges.
Especially, in Greece, the back to school category is structurally affected by the continuing decline in birth rates, as the number of births remains at historically low levels.
- The shrinking student population represents a long-term challenge for school-related product sales—one that the Group addresses through product mix diversification and by strengthening other categories targeting broader age groups.
In Romania, the VAT increase implemented in August 2025 was absorbed in order to maintain competitiveness and preserve the unique price - value relationship recognized by consumers.
In Bulgaria, topline was flat, with focus on the potential inflationary effects that may arise from the country’s forthcoming entry into the Eurozone.
- Conversely, in Greece and Cyprus, store performance was stronger, effectively supporting the Group’s overall growth rate despite the demographic headwinds.
Overall, for the January–September period, the Group’s sales were up by approximately +7,6% y-o-y, maintaining the growth rate compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, thereby confirming the resilience of the Group’s business model.
