Elmec Sport SA announces that today, Thursday the 31st of May 2007, both the Company as well as the Group were presented to analysts from securities, banks and mutual funds management companies. The main issues analyzed in the presentation were the financial results of the Company and the Group for the fiscal year 2006, the position of the Company in the markets where it operates and its expansion strategy in these markets.
The structure of the Group was presented and a detailed analysis took place regarding its sectors: department stores, the network of retail shops and the wholesale distribution network (via distribution agreements). More specifically, the activity of the three department stores already operating was presented along with the plans of the Group regarding the operation of the two department stores, which are under construction at the present time. Moreover, a detailed analysis took place regarding the expansion of the network of the retail shops, reaching 130 at the present time versus only 19 in 2000 and in the strengthening of the Group's commercial portfolio with new distribution agreements for major brands in the footwear and apparel categories.
Furthermore, the evolution of the fundamentals of the Group were presented emphasizing the fact that the Group made 60 million euros in investments during the last two years, 2004 - 2006, with no additional debt financing during 2005 - 2006.
Another point presented was the conclusion of the restructuring of the segment of wholesale distribution network of sportswear of the parent company, so that the distribution of CONVERSE products in the markets of Greece and Cyprus will commence from the 2nd semester of 2007. As a matter of fact, the first sampling was completed with an astonishing response from the market.
